November 17th is Give to the Max Day!

Minnesota's Give to the Max Day is today, November 17th! Each year, generous supporters like you celebrate Give to the Max Day by making your online donation to your favorite charities on GiveMN.org. Your giving on this day makes a difference to us far beyond the 24-hour giving event; you will directly support From Age to Age’s ability to make beautiful choral music in 2022.

Although From Age to Age accepts donations year-round on the website, your donation on Give to the Max Day may help us receive an additional donation of $500-$1,000. Here’s how: GiveMN is drawing $500 Golden Ticket winners every 15 minutes on Give to the Max Day. Back again this year, they're also giving away their traditional $1,000 Hourly Golden Tickets on November 18. Your donation to any Minnesota-based nonprofit or school will be boosted by $1,000 if they draw your gift! The grand prize of Give to the Max, you could turn any gift of $5 or more into $10,000 for your favorite cause! This prize will be drawn from all gifts made during Give to the Max Day and Early Giving, from November 1-17.

From Age to Age functions solely on donations and concert admissions to keep spreading its vision in choral arts. Our annual goal is to raise $5,000, and you can help us reach our goal. Be sure to mark your calendar and make your gift on November 17th by visiting GiveMN.org and searching for our organization, or by clicking here:  https://www.givemn.org/story/Fata22

We’ve had a great start to Season 13 with a performance at the Byzantine Choral Festival and two collaborative “Draw the Circle Wide” concerts in October. We have thoroughly enjoyed performing the challenging Byzantine repertoire and look forward to singing it again at future concerts. Recap of Season 12 (2018/19)

We had a great and productive 12th season.  Here are some of the things we were able to accomplish.

Part of our mission includes enriching communities in music appreciation through outreach programming. In accordance with our mission, season 12 was all about collaborating with other talented groups.  In fact, our fall concert series was called just that - “Sound Collaboration” - a series where we joined forces with the FATA alumni, the Open World Learning Concert Choir led by our very own Alex Ferderer, and the Easter Lutheran Church choir. We then teamed up with the Advent Lutheran Church choir and the students at the St. Croix Lutheran academy for our “Sounds of the Season” concert series.  We finished the season with the third annual installment of the popular “Made in Minnesota” series in collaboration with the Bethany Lutheran College concert choir and the Shattuck St. Mary’s Chamber Choir and Boys Choir.

In November we had the privilege of performing at the Minnesota ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) conference where Artistic Director Peter Durow was awarded the VocalEssence award for creative programming.

We had a great time at the MN ACDA conference!

On March 6, as a result of a nationwide search, we got to open for Disney’s DCappella in Minneapolis.  What a thrill and honor it was to participate in this phenomenal a cappella concert! #DCappella #TakeUsOnTour #Minneapolis

We sang for Mass at St. Olaf Catholic Church, where we are choir-in-residence, on November 11 and April 14, in collaboration with the Parish Choir. We always have a lovely time singing for Mass there and are grateful to St. Olaf for providing a residence for us.

In January and May, we did a series of recording sessions of our Sounds of the Season and Made in Minnesota programs. We are very excited about the results so far - look for a brand new release from us on November 7th!

We are looking forward to a vibrant and engaging 13th season! Lucky 13! #FATAsings
